Initial Sketch

I keep this sketch very loose, just enough detail to get my idea across.

Initial Sketch Fleshed Out

I draw over my initial sketch and work out any kinks. I use this refined drawing as my line work in the final illustration, but I color the lines to a dark blue so it isn’t as harsh as a black.

Details

When the illustration is just about done, I add smaller details like the little hairs on raspberries. I add these small lines over the line work layer, as you can see in the right image.

Final

I always look over the illustration when I think it’s done, just to make sure I didn’t miss something. It was really fun to draw a bunch of fruit!
